After living for over 30 years in the San Diego Area, the Lord provided an opportunity for Jim and his wife Rho to relocate to Prescott, which they did in January of 2021, along with their black labrador Milana and their two cats, Kindle and Koda. Jim and Rho have been married for 32 years.
Jim’s background includes 40+ years in the technology field, working in software engineering, systems analysis, client support, disaster preparedness, and team and project management. Jim has also been involved in teaching adult ministries, counseling, and lay leadership at his previous churches. There isn’t a day that goes by in his current position that he doesn’t draw on something the Lord taught him in all those years of working in the corporate environment and in church leadership.
In Jim’s role as Executive Pastor, which he took on in 2023, he oversees the operations of the church while also teaching, doing visitations, and taking care of the church’s members and attenders. As part of the Elder team, Jim is responsible for shaping and implementing the vision for the church, and to ensure that the other Pastors & Elders are able to focus on their giftings and callings and to not be concerned with much of the day-to-day operations of the church.
Through the oversight of the operations of the church, Jim is able to ensure that the vision for the church is being implemented and that our staff’s efforts and the resources of the church are focused on providing an environment that enables our members and attenders to seek and hear the Good News about the Lord when they are on the campus, and to live the Gospel in all areas of their lives.
Jim loves how this family strives to love one another, is committed to the preaching of the Gospel for all of life, and wants to continue to grow in godliness, and is making a difference in our community.
