Hector and his wife, Jana, came to Prescott in November 2020. They had seen the city 20 years earlier and thought it was an attractive place to retire. They bought a new home in 2020 and soon after it was built, found Solid Rock Christian Fellowship and are very happy to be involved in a gospel-centered church close to home.

He worked for over 35 years for the telephone company in Southern California. After retiring, Hector helped his wife take care of her aging mother. After Jana’s mother went to be with the Lord, they felt the freedom to move geographically, and that is when they decided to move to Prescott.

Hector grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the education system is a bit different than here in the states. After finishing his education, he served the required one year in the military, and soon after that, immigrated to the United States in 1971.

Hector has served as an elder at two churches in the past. He has also served actively in the prayer ministry of every church he has belonged to since becoming a Christian. He and his wife lead a small group in their home now and enjoy working through the Bible verse by verse with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

He loves studying and meditating on the word of God and sharing with others what they are learning and what he is learning. He loves praying with others and supporting them as we all walk with the Lord.

About Solid Rock, Hector says. “I love the strong commitment to teaching the word of God in its entirety. I love the fact that our church is gospel centered. I have always loved the extreme friendliness and level of fellowship we have with the other believers at Solid Rock.”
