David was called to Solid Rock in January, 2010. He grew up in California, but spent most of his adult life in Michigan, raising his family, and serving the Lord in Christian ministry. David, and his wife Sharon, have been married since 1983 and are blessed with four wonderful children, and two grandchildren.
Since his salvation at age 18, he has had a passion for ministry. That passion has been shaped by God into a desire to strengthen and support marriages and families, and encourage all believers in the Gospel. To that end, he received a degree in counseling and Bible from William Tyndale College, in Michigan, and then completed an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy.
David’s role as Executive Pastor is to support the Lead Pastor, care for Solid Rock staff, oversee facilities, various ministries, technology, etc. David is relational and detail oriented.
David has been an avid marathon and Ironman participant since his early 40’s, and currently loves to run, hike and spend time with his family. He also serves on an International Board for ImpactIndia360 (a ministry partner of CEM ministries) in a rural village in India. He loves to serve his Indian brothers and sisters, making more than 20 trips since 2005.
His life verse(s) is “For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
